About the event

On the 20th July 2020, the government published its draft Building Safety Bill to improve building and fire safety across the whole system of building and managing high-rise homes. Along with the existing Fire Safety Bill and fire safety consultation which was also published on 20th July, it sets out how the government are proposing to provide the biggest improvements to building safety in nearly 40 years.

Benefits of attending

This NFA building safety seminar for both ALMOs and their councils will explore the proposals and examine what they will mean for councils and their ALMOs in managing existing high-rise buildings as well as building new ones. You will hear from MHCLG officials involved in the drafting of the bill, a representative of the Fire and Rescue service and ALMOs and councils leading the way in preparing for this new framework. Join us on the 15th September to hear from the experts ask questions and raise issues and concerns with colleagues across the sector.
