NFA Tenants Advisory Panel: Terms of reference

The Tenants Advisory Panel was set up in 2021 to bring additional tenant insight and experience to NFA work and policy discussions. All NFA members are invited to nominate a representative to sit on the panel.

The panel’s role is to:

• comment on policy development by the NFA
• respond to surveys that influence NFA responses to policy proposals and government consultations
• discuss and recommend policy priorities for consideration by the NFA Board
• highlight common areas of concern for ALMO tenants, making recommendations to the NFA Board.

The NFA hosts virtual panel meetings three times a year, but the panel’s opinion and feedback are regularly sought through surveys and email requests for views on submissions or consultations.

The panel can also draw up its own papers for consideration by the NFA Board, and members can attend board meetings to offer advice or recommendations in person.
