NFA Diversity and Inclusion policy

The NFA aims to make sure its policy and communications work is respectful and accepting of difference.
For the National Federation of ALMOs, this means:

• a focus on working to establish a fully supplied and diversified UK housing sector that advocates respect for all forms of tenure; and
• pursuing objectives based on a fundamental right to a secure and decent home, of the right kind and in the right place, regardless of income or other potential barriers such as sex, age, ethnic origin, marital or work status, sexual orientation, physical ability or mental health.

All NFA policy objectives and communications and the language we use must:

• accommodate all beliefs;
• respect and acknowledge ethnic and cultural differences;
• promote gender equality;
• respect and acknowledge different physical and mental abilities;
• take account of differences in attitude between generations;
• put inclusion first when approaching all these issues.
