We would like to invite you and your Board members to join us again at our annual ALMO Board Chair and Board Members Seminar which we hold in the Autumn of each year.

There is a lot happening in the social rented sector that ALMO board members need to get their heads around: the impact of a new government with a new policy agenda; the roll out of a new regulatory regime and beefed-up Housing Ombudsman Service; a challenging operating environment with Housing Revenue Accounts under extraordinary pressures and significant recruitment challenges.

This event will give ALMO board members the opportunity to come together virtually and get the latest ALMO-related updates. Chaired by Eamon McGoldrick, NFA Managing Director, the event will include:

• Berneslai Homes – providing insight on their experience as the first NFA member to complete the new regulatory inspection
• Cornwall Housing – talking about how to re-set the relationship with a council after a failure, how to strengthen the Board and the role of tenants in this, as well as their experience of being under regulatory notice
• Steve Partridge – Chair at Stockport Homes and Director at Savills talking about HRA expenditure pressures and the role of board members in scrutinising performance
• Lisa Birchall, NFA Head of Policy – providing an overview of the policy landscape and a look into the next six months/year.

As always there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions of our speakers and share your own experiences.
