Most ALMOs are working to raise their environmental performance and the best way of doing this is by becoming more energy efficient. By far the biggest impact can be achieved by improving the efficiency of the housing stock itself. In 2014 there were estimated to be 2.3 million ‘fuel poor’ households in the UK.
This report, based on members’ experiences, shows the importance of working with tenants to change behaviours around energy use, as well as property refurbishment.
