The National Housing and Domestic Abuse Policy and Practice Group, which we are a member of, has written to Eddie Hughes, MP, Minister for Housing and Rough Sleeping, about the Renters’ Reform white paper. While welcoming the contents of the white paper, the group raises concerns about the possible unintended consequences on victims and survivors of domestic abuse. This includes the plan to make it easier to evict tenants in cases of ASB and rent arrears, which is likely to impact cases of domestic abuse.
