ARCH and NFA response to the Home Office consultation on Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)
On 8 June 2021 the Government issued a consultation paper on Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans in High-Rise Residential Buildings. Consultation closed on 19 July 2021.
NFA and ARCH members are committed to engaging with all vulnerable residents, especially around fire safety. However, their response to this consultation explains why the concept of a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) for every vulnerable resident in a high-rise building is not, in their view, the right solution for all contexts, and other approaches should be tested.
