New strategic plan launched by Colchester Borough Homes
Board members, tenants and community stakeholders this month attended the launch of a new five-year strategic plan for Colchester Borough Homes that aims to deliver a service more responsive to the needs and views of residents.
CBH manages more than 7,000 homes and a range of corporate buildings on behalf of Colchester Borough Council. At the launch, CBH Board Chair Dirk Patterson outlined a dynamic vision that will focus on three key goals: a positive customer experience, staff who feel valued and safer and more vibrant communities.
The plan has been drafted by the CBH Board which, like all ALMOs, includes tenant members and ensure independent oversight of the maintenance and running of Colchester’s council housing. It sets out the board’s long-term vision for investment in homes and neighbourhoods, creating safe and inclusive places where people are proud to live, working even more sustainably, valuing staff, and delivering services that are in tune with the needs and expectations of local communities.
Chair Dirk Paterson said: “All organisations need a clear direction and focus for their most important priorities. Our new Strategic Plan provides that direction and focus, within the anticipated resources available over the coming years. It reflects our commitment to listen to feedback and focus our efforts on what matters most to us – our customers, our colleagues and our communities.
“We want our tenants, residents and stakeholders to feel positive about their future with us. Our new Strategic Plan is a promise to our customers, our colleagues, and our communities that we are clear in our aims and ready to make progress and to measure our success. Together, we can make Colchester a better place.”
