The NFA has responded jointly with ARCH and CWAG to the government’s consultation on the Right to Buy.

We welcome the proposed changes which will make the Right to Buy scheme fairer, and which local authority landlords and many tenants have been calling for.

We think the reformed Right to Buy will strike a better balance between protecting a scarce resource for all those people without a secure home who are living in temporary accommodation, while not closing the opportunity for existing tenants to buy the home they have lived in for a number of years.
