The NFA has submitted a response to the Regulator of Social Housing on its proposed use of powers consultation (“changes to our statutory guidance under section 215 of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 for the Regulator of Social Housing”). 

We have broadly agreed that the proposed approach set out in the Statutory Guidance seems a reasonable basis on which to use its powers.  We have, however, requested that the Regulator consider discussing/considering the transfer of management to a council-owned body similar to the current ALMO model, as a power that could be used with local authorities.
